Citizens who sign up to address the board during public comment will be called on in priority order first for items on the agenda and then for items not on the agenda. Each individual speaker will be allowed three minutes for remarks. Issues or concerns involving personnel matters are not appropriate for this public comment setting. After 30 minutes of public comment, any speakers remaining will be recognized at the end of the agenda for their comments.

11.BIDS: CONN ELEMENTARY HVAC RENOVATION
Bids were received on March 13, 2012 for the HVAC Renovation Project at Conn Elementary. This project will replace heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment throughout the entire campus. Staff and Cheatham & Associates, P.A., recommend award of the single-prime contract to Harrod & Associates Constructors, Inc., in the amount of $2,249,000. Fiscal Implications: Funding is available from the total project budget of $74,813,687 for CIP 2006 Life-Cycle Replacement of Building Components. Savings: Not applicable. Recommendation for Action: Board approval is requested.12.BIDS: EAST GARNER MIDDLE HVAC RENOVATION
Bids were received on March 14, 2012 for the HVAC Renovation Project at East Garner Middle. This project will replace heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment throughout selected areas of the campus. Staff and Cheatham & Associates, P.A., recommend award of the single-prime contract to Comfort Systems USA (MidAtlantic), LLC, in the amount of $650,999. Fiscal Implications: Funding is available from the total project budget of $74,813,687 for CIP 2006 Life-Cycle Replacement of Building Components. Savings: Not applicable. Bids were received on March 8, 2012 for the roof replacement of Hilburn Elementary School. Staff and Rooftop Systems Engineers, recommend award of the single-prime contract to AAR of North Carolina, Inc., in the amount of $652,280. The existing (1995) single-ply membrane roof is at the end of its useful life and is currently leaking. Therefore, it is being replaced with a new 15-year warranty, single-ply membrane roof system. Fiscal Implications: Funding is available from the total project budget of $74,813,687 for CIP 2006 Life-Cycle Replacement of Building Components. Savings: None. Recommendation for Action: Board approval is requested. 14. BIDS: SOUTHEAST RALEIGH HIGH ROOF REPLACMENT
Bids were received on March 15, 2012 for the roof replacement of Southeast Raleigh High School. Staff and REI Engineers, recommend award of the single-prime contract to AAR of North Carolina, Inc., in the amount of $1,268,200. The existing (1997) single-ply membrane roof is at the end of its useful life and is currently leaking. Therefore, it is being replaced with a new 20-year warranty, modified bitumen membrane roof system. Fiscal Implications: Funding is available from the total project budget of $74,813,687 for CIP 2006 Life-Cycle Replacement of Building Components. Savings: None.
