SS17: Board Committee Reports

The Chairs for the Policy Committee and the Student Achievement Committee will present reports on the Committee's work during the past year. These reports will review the areas within the Board of Education's Work Plan that have been accomplished during the past year as well as the areas in which the committees will continue their work.

LT4: NCLB Resolution of Recommended Changes

Staff will present a resolution for recommended changes to the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act.

LT5: 2010 NC Governor's School

Staff will review the options to pay the required tuition ($500) for WCPSS students attending the 2010 Governor's School.

LT6/FA4: Recovery Act- Funded- Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) Initiative Announcement

Staff will review the requirements of the Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) application by Wake County and the potential involvement/support of the school system.

SS19: CFAC Recommendation A-11 (2) (Identify Joint Use Projects)

Staff will review the response to Citizens Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) recommendations concerning maximizing the number of joint use sites and development of a methodology for identifying potential Joint Use Projects.

SS20: CFAC Recommendation A-3 (Plan Urban Designs)

Staff will review the response to Citizens Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) recommendations concerning supporting urban school designs and seeking to preserve suitable locations for them.
